Susan Schmitt LCSW is a member of the largest group of mental health service providers, in the United States. She has been certified as a BCD in clinical social work, a national credential issued to advanced practitioners. The BCD designation requires an annual recertification process based on the attainment of specified levels of continuing education, currency of practice and maintenance of state licensure in good standing. Susan has a clinical practice in psychotherapy in the greater Roxbury New Jersey area. She provides counseling services to individuals, couples and their families. Her office is conveniently located and is a comfortable, safe, confidential place to begin working on any problem.
Susan attended the distinguished New York University Washington Square Campus which is known for it's direct practice clinical program. Her training entailed working with a wide range, culturally diverse population, in multiple practice settings. She has specialized skills in psychotherapy, is a reflective relationship-centered practioner, whom is of service to her clients through the change process. Susan has a passion for helping others with their personal problems and a special interest in the mind body connection, which is a study of how mental and emotional states can impact the body.
