Susan Schmitt LCSW is a member of the largest group of mental health service providers, in the United States. She has been certified as a BCD in clinical social work, a national credential issued to advanced practitioners. The BCD designation requires an annual recertification process based on the attainment of specified levels of continuing education, currency of practice and maintenance of state licensure in good standing. Susan has a clinical practice in psychotherapy in the greater Roxbury New Jersey area. She provides counseling services to individuals, couples and their families. Her office is conveniently located and is a safe confidential place to begin working on any problem.
Susan attended the distinguished New York University Washington Square Campus which is known for it's direct practice clinical program. Her training entailed working with a wide range, culturally diverse population, in multiple practice settings. She practices in areas of competence, continually, developing and enhancing her expertise through education and trainings. She has specialized skills in psychotherapy and is a reflective relationship-centered practioner with a special interest in the mind, body connection. Susan is passionate about being of service to people, addressing personal problems with a sense of respect and a persons well being.
